When summer hits, a sun protection hat is a must. Let’s have a little fun – what does your sun hat say about you?
You love style and you’re not afraid to be noticed.
You care about how your garden looks because you want to enjoy being in it and sharing it with your friends.
You’re fun to be around and you appreciate loyalty.
You’re a kid at heart with a zest for life.
Your garden is a place of adventure and fun for you. Whether you’re planting seeds, seeking out worms, or exclaiming over the latest bird visitor, it’s all good. Of course you want to share it with your friends and family.
You have an adventurous spirit and you’re ready to go. It’s just as well your hat has a chin strap – you’ll need it!

You have a sense of fun and love your friends.
You like to potter in your garden among the flowers, putting in new plants to fill blank spaces. You’re not afraid of bugs and you welcome butterflies to your garden.
You’re thoughtful and somewhat contemplative.
You have some wildness in you and are not afraid to be in charge.
Your garden has to be good and your idea of fun is being active. Lots of space to roam is what you seek and larger than life landscaping. Bring out the BBQ and beer, let’s share!
You’re confident and willing to tell your friends what you think. They should be straight with you too.
You’re elegant and understated.
You love to enjoy your garden, which is both natural and organized. You’re happy sitting still with a favorite book to hand, some art materials and a sketchbook, or a journal.
You enjoy fresh food from your garden and quiet time with your friends.
So, did you find your hat? Which sun protection hat are you?

OK, I’m definitely the second one – boot camp explorer floppy hat. Where can I get me one?
Ah, Debi, I’m not surprised about which hat you chose. Keep exploring, my friend
You forgot my category…”Man, it’s hot out! One of these days, I gotta get a hat.”
TWO HOURS LATER: “Why is my scalp sunburned?”

Ursula, thanks for making me laugh! Did you get a hat yet?
I’ll take three please! Love the first one, next would be the last one, then to be practical the straw hat. I’ll take the explorer floppy hat too, for days when it’s not too hot and I don’t need sun protection. That’s my main reason for wearing a hat outdoors–sometimes I wear a long scarf underneath a baseball cap to protect my neck lol
Definitely need a new hat, and I like having things that suit my mood on different days

Leah, you’re a gardener of many talents, and many moods. Why not, wear as many hats as you like. Dress up is fun!
I’m the boot camp explorer floppy hat 100%!
Love those hats, they make everything much more fun!

Aileen, your family sounds both diverse and fun. I’m glad you liked the post.
I have actually owned and wore all five hat styles! I love hats. These days I wear something similar to the Tiffany, and am much more contemplative than social in my encroaching dodderhood

Hi Meg, you didn’t say whether you read a book or write in your journal while wearing your Tiffany hat. Or maybe you do both.
Now I’m wondering how many hats a Minimalist Woman should own. Maybe less hats than shoes? Or should it be more? A multi-purpose hat sounds like the thing.
If it’s outdoors, I’m doing it in the Tiffany hat. Mine is a UV ray-blocking canvas one that is also somewhat waterproof.
I’m not tellin’ how many hats and shoes I have, only that they are vastly reduced in number from what I used to have, and are each worn with regularity

Meg, that sounds like a great multi-purpose hat you have there. I’m tempted to ask where you got it, but I have a sun hat already, so I’ll refrain.
I think we’ll have to talk about this minimalism thing some more.
