Wendy, I sure could use help with the laundry. Your story really made me smile Unfortunately the kind of “help” birds might actually be with the laundry isn’t so attractive – with all the trees in my yard I wonder how long it would stay clean if hung out!

Wow, if I had this book with CD my girls would be in heaven! They love trying to call the birds and squirrels. I think they’ve watched one too many Disney movie because they also think they can hold out their fingers and a bird will sit on it and sing with them (and then maybe the birds can help me with the laundry)! Pishing is a technique used by birders to get birds to come a little closer so the birders can more clearly observe them. Basically, it’s a series of chirping, clucking, or “kissing” noises. The good thing is, this book comes with a CD to demonstrate these terms which is much easier than trying to imagine them in writing. Very good book.
