Kids Write About Our National ParksToday the winners of the National Park Foundation Junior Ranger Essay competition were announced. The winners have some interesting things to say. What do we learn when kids write about our National Parks? Take the essay from overall winner Skyler Baldwin of California Will you consider me out of touch and an old fuddy duddy if I say that National Park Monopoly is fun? Would your kids listen to a celebrity who tells them that national parks are cool? I’m just wondering… Then there is the second place winner, Jason Roy Maki of Washington State. Personally I think Jason should have been the overall winner. Who the heck cares about some silly celebrity? And a National Park Game? What would be the goal? I’m confused about that entry….
