Tuesday Tidbits

Here are some Tuesday Tidbits – little bits of fun information and news gathered from around the web.

  1. Cute Possum Momma with 6 babies on her back at Wildlife Around Us.
  2. Produce, kids, gardens and fun at The Grass Stain Guru.
  3. R is for Robins and Rainbows at The Crafty Crow – great site for craft links and many of them nature themed.
  4. Green Things to be Cheerful About at Celsias. Aha! It seems they saved me the work of finding good news.
  5. Organic Food Coupons at Mother Nature Network. Mmmm, I love Stonyfield Farm yogurt.
  6. Despite the turmoil, Afghanistan has identified 33 species to protect.
  7. This summer our National Parks will have 3 fee free weekends, or should that be free fee. The list of parks included in this program can be seen at NPS.gov. It could be time to plan that trip to Grand Canyon, Yosemite or Yellowstone.
  8. Here’s an alternative home – a truck which turns into a 2 floor house.
  9. Beehive fences keep elephants out of crops. I love this kind of imaginative use of nature which protects the interests of people without harming wildlife.
  10. Wind turbines could be in your local store in October – Ace hardware to sell Honeywell turbines.

That’s it for today. Did you find something of interest? Do let me know.

That tiny transformer project was so cool to look at! I can see retired folks gravitating to that style or folks without kids. It becomes much more challenging with little ones!

Yes, many things are different when you have young kids. I'm not sure if we need space when we have kids or if we just think we do.
