We interrupt normal programming to bring you these important messages. “There will be no Weekly Earth News this week. The reason for this lack is:
- My brain has been sucked out by the evil alien monster known as Twitter. Yes, I have lots of Earth news, so much that it has been mislaid inside my head and is not escaping through my fingers into Blogger.
- I just returned from a meeting at my local public library entitled ‘No Child Left Inside’. How could I avoid going to a meeting so topical to what I write about? If I’d been home instead I’d have written the Weekly Earth News. I’m not into burning the midnight oil to get out Weekly Earth News tonight. Sorry folks, I’m into sacrificing myself for the greater good, but there are limits.
- I am planning my escape from the force known as Blogger. Why, you ask? Because Blogger does not send me more than 5 visits a day through Google searches – pretty much the same as it was 6 months ago. Weekly Earth News is a killer to write – I want to know that you love it. Tell me it has made a difference in your life, or that you will miss it this week. I’ll gladly slave over my hot keyboard to produce it for you every Tuesday until the end of time, or something approximating it.
Thank you for reading and if Weekly Earth News is of value to you, or even your favorite, please do let me know. I like to keep in touch with what you are thinking. No reply on this and I will consider writing an alternative topic on Tuesdays. ” We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I just found your blog; please don't quit now.
You could try using google analytics to up your visits.
Thanks for the supportive comments. I'm intending to post part 2 of Happy Family Camping today. I just need to go outside for some garden time. Life can get crazy.
I understand how it goes. I also know that you've been squeezing google analytics for quite awhile and it's just not pulling it's weight.
So, I'm going to miss you *here*, but I'll be visiting you *there*! Know that you are loved regardless!
Soak up that sunshine!
Thanks, as always, for your support Ruralmama. I'll be working on *there* soon.
I subscribe through Google Reader, and I'm not sure if you know how many subscribers you have out there like that, but I'm out here, lurking and enjoying ^.^
Katterley, thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. According to Feedburner I have about 60 subscribers. I'm very happy with that, I'd just like to get better indexing by Google so that people can find me. Self-hosted Wordpress seems to be necessary.
It's really nice to know that you are reading and enjoying, otherwise a statistic is just that, not the same as knowing that a real person is enjoying what I produce.
Well I like reading your earth news! It tends to be more positive than the emails I receive from various environmental groups.
I don't understand why you don't get more Google searches. I love seeing the crazy ways people find their way to my blog!
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
Cristina, I don't understand either why Google doesn't send me more people. Technical folks tell me its just that Blogger is really bad for search engine optimization. I know some who've moved to Wordpress and love it. That's my plan.
