In case you are worried, rest easy, no doggies were harmed in the writing of this review! A few weeks back I received a very polite e-mail from the folks at FlushDoggy.com asking me if I would review their eco-friendly doggy doo bag product. Now, I don’t actually have a pet dog, but being a helpful person I just hated to say “no”, so I didn’t. I do have a lovely neighbor who has a dog and she agreed to help me review the Flush Doggy go green poop bags.
Folks who live in the city and suburbs will be used by now to scooping doggy doo when out exercising with their pooches. Flush Doggy make flushable baggies which they write up as 100% biodegradable, flushable, and eco-friendly. When heading off into the fresh air you simply stuff your pockets with these light green, flushable baggies instead of whatever kind of baggies you currently use. I don’t know what the baggies are made of, but this sounds pretty good to me. Of course you then take the baggies out your pocket, use them for the doo at the appropriate moments, and take them back home to flush. You may also be interested to know that 10% of sales are donated to the ASPCA to fight puppy mills. I like that.
So, what’s the verdict? I recommend you try this product if you: live in the city or suburbs; have a small to medium sized dog; carry the doo back home rather than dropping your baggies in a receptable in a public space; and like to live just a little dangerously. I don’t recommend this product if you are of a cautious nature, or worry about always having a plumber’s friend handy. Let’s face it, some water closets flush better than others. Some of us are risk averse to plumbing experiments. We tried, but neither my neighbor nor I could summon up the courage to meet this challenge. Flush Doggy currently have a free shipping sale on, so pop on over there, give their site a look, and let me know what you think. I have a couple of sample bags here which I didn’t use. If you want to give them a try, first come first served, they’re yours – just leave a comment.
Flush Doggy provided me with a handful of their bags to try out so that I could write this review. If you would like to try the leftover bags just let me know.

Sorry! No dogs here. But it sounds interesting. I know we've been pretty cautious after a few times using "flushable" cat litter that wasn't. Backed up toilets are not fun.
Peace and Laughter!
